In 1993 Joe Chaho started Chelsea Pizza in a small plaza off the 105. In 2010 his son Jacob opened up Chelsea Shawarma just down the road. In 2014 Joe and Jacob joined forces and now continue to operate under “Chelsea Shawarma + Pizza” serving up a great mix of take-out and dine-in options. Their family business has been a local favourite for years, servicing Chelsea, Cantley, Hull and the Gatineau Hills with the best Shawarmas, Platters, Pizzas and Italian dishes around.
Back in 2011, two long time mechanics, Jamie and Kent, saw an opportunity to offer something new to their customers: great carbon wheels, built right, at reasonable prices. Each one tailored to the needs of the individual rider.
Rodd and Martin joined the team shortly after, and now today, some 15 years later, we continue to evolve and refine our product line.
We now offer wheels to suit almost every riding style, and options to fit almost every bike. We're proud to have built a loyal, passionate customer base and a strong dealer network across Canada. Our wheels have been ridden and raced all over the world, at the highest levels of the sport.

A couple of leftovers from high tech era - Kent (Physicist) and Dave (EE) decided to form Phat Moose early 2003. Initially we worked out of Dave's backyard/shed to supply the 24"/26" street/DJ bike craze. Realizing that Dave's neighbour's only have a certain amount of goodwill we moved to our present location on Hawthorne Ave (not Rd!!).
As a full service bike shop we offer basically everything for biking needs - though our specialty is custom builds we carry all types of bikes and clothing + accessories. Our team now comprises Kent, Dave, Eric, Davis and Hope all knowledgeable and ready to answer your questions or just talk bike.

I’ve been working with bicycles and suspension systems since 2004. Over the years, I’ve built my career around the technical side of the sport, focusing on how suspension works, how it fails, and what actually makes it perform reliably in the real world. Suspension isn’t something I added to a long list of services; It's the only focus.
I’m trained as a Fox, Öhlins, and RockShox suspension technician, and I’m also an authorized Specialized Brain technician. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with major manufacturers, including time at the Shimano and SRAM Canadian service center, gaining experience with modern components at a systems level.
I care about how your suspension feels on the trail, how long it lasts, and whether it performs the way it should ride after ride. If something doesn’t make sense, I take the time to understand it and fix it properly, not just make it “good enough.”
When I’m not at the bench servicing forks and shocks, I’m usually experimenting with a new idea, designing a tool or product, or refining a process. And when I step away from the workshop, I’m on a bike. Because that’s where all of this actually matters.
