As a child, riding bikes with your friends or peers can be a very enriching experience.  Running from May to mid August of 2023, Bakker's Trailblazers will offer twice weekly instructor lead rides for all kids age 8-13.  The rides will help develop your childs confidence on a mountain bike, build group riding skills, and teach them the technical skills required to tackle more challenging terrain, in a safe and progressive manner.

In order to maintain a safe riding environment for all, riders should meet one of the following 2 skill criteria (based on the Bakker's Trailblazers summer camps skill rating)

 

Shredders - Can ride roots and rock up to 6-8 inches in height, can roll down rock faces, do jumps and lift front/rear wheel. Can ride 1.5 hrs without a break. No problem changing gears and can modulate brakes.

Mud Guppy - Can ride roots and rock up to 12 inches in height, can roll down rock faces, do jumps and lift front/rear wheel. Can ride 2 hrs without a break. No problem changing gears and can modulate brakes.

Parents are welcomed to join the rides if desired. Space is limited for each group, please use the link below to send in your request for membership.

  • South March Highlands

  • Greenbelt

  • Wesley Clover Parks

• Two weekly rides​

Cost:

Child (season):  $120 + hst (includes twice weekly guided rides for entire season, along with Bakker's Trailblazers youth ride membership, discount at Bushtukah and on Bakker's Trailblazers team merchandise )

Child (monthly):  $45 + hst (includes twice weekly guided rides for 1 calendar month, along with Bakker's Trailblazers youth ride membership, discount at Bushtukah and on Bakker's Trailblazers team merchandise)

​

Adult (season):  $5 + hst (for parents or guardians wishing to ride with their dependent, includes twice weekly guided rides for the entire season, along with Bakker's Trailblazers youth ride membership, discount at Bushtukah and on Bakker's Trailblazers team merchandise)
